a creative coach and writer ā and a lifelong multi-hyphenate, widely curious and conversant. Iāve primarily worked as a journalist and editor in the spheres of design, culture, and place, and thanks to reams of story interviews and fifteen years of management, Iāve become especially adept at talking to people and making authentic connections. So this year, I launched a coaching practice.
My writing has appeared in Elle Decor, New York Magazine, Curbed, and Metropolis, among others, and Iāve worked as an editor, creative director, and strategist with a rĆ©sumĆ© that includes senior roles at Adobe, Vox Media, and a suite of brands under Soho House & Co. Independently, Iāve enjoyed work ranging from academic copyediting to publication design and production.
Iāve given interviews about people-first product creation (Humans and Computers podcast), recommendations for the best work-from-home āfits (The Strategist), comments on āLive, Laugh, Loveā decor (The Outline), tips on managing up down and to the side (Online News Association), a talk on āwhole placesā (Palm Springs Art Museum), and more.
I once ran a nonlinear webzine and zine subscription service (Womanzine) and worked with some of my favorite tech and culture writers to create a print version for the worldās first emoji art show (Eyebeam). Ask me about any of it.
on Substack, where I publish my coaching newsletter, New being being new, and on Instagram, where I also run an account for my love of vases and vessels.
